ModelRight 3 released
March 3, 2008
ModelRight now offers in-depth support for SQL Server Developers/DBAs and expands its already robust support for Oracle and MySQL database users. It also increases its general modeling capabilities with :
- A diagram navigator provides a bird’s-eye view of a database diagram and enables users to easily zoom, scroll and control their diagrams. The navigator tool is especially useful for anyone who works with large diagrams
- Mode-less database compare allows users to compare their models with their databases, and the two will synchronize as updates take place to the model or the database.
- Alias Datatypes, Independent Defaults, and Check Constraint Domains
- Greater connectivity and support for databases that are open database connectivity (ODBC) compliant

PROGRAMMING TOOLS:
MODELRIGHT 2
Need to bring out the big guns for a database design project?
You've got a lot of cheap choices (and even some free ones),
but none of them close to packing the punch of serious design
apps like ModelRight. This high-powered tool can help you
reverse engineer a current database, so you can better
understand the way it's structured--and how best to make
changes to it, which you can do graphically in your model and
then push out with scripts. You can also use ModelRight to
create an entirely new database using some of the same
graphical modeling tools. ModelRight sets itself apart with a
hyperlinked, mode-less interface that makes for a natural,
intuitive work environment (with unlimited undo/redo) that
doesn't force you through endless stacked dialogs.
