Just a couple of wishlist items for the UI

    1. It'd be nice if you could just select a table in the Model Explorer (click on it) and a Goto In Diagram would happen. This is how ER Studio acts -- it's a nice way to quickly get to where you need to be in a hurry

    2. I'd like to be using the Pan (hand), but somehow switch back to the pointer, without having to go to the toolbar to make the switch back and forth.

    BTW, Great product!

    1.  I'm not sure that is what you or other users would always want to do.  Suppose you are just browsing tables in the explorer?  I suppose you do know that you can hit Ctrl+t to quickly do that.

     2.  You can hit Esc to switch back to the pointer.

    Thanks for the compliment!

    1. Well, you could just be browsing tables, sure -- but the diagram would be silently whipping around to bring into view the table that you're looking at -- no harm there, eh? Also - what could is the diagram sitting on a table that has nothing to do with the area that you're looking at?

Sure, Ctl+T is OK, but it's awkward to get there. It involves using the arms and hands, which are otherwise dormant, In fact, I'm so lazy, I never use the Ctl-T -- I just right click and Go To / In Diagram

    2. Wow! Thanks for pointing this out. Of course, I have to move an arm again, but hey!

Option would be great as a configuration setting rather than a hard and fast rule. I agree with Scott here, I don't always want to be buzzing around the model when i'm just browsing column names from other tables, but still want a point of reference on the table I was originally looking at.

Below might be a graceful solution to the issue. See additional check under Diagrams group

Any news on syncing the diagram with the currently selected item in the Model Explorer?

    Thanks...

I mean like "yes, we're working on it", or maybe "no, we're not doing that"...

These are examples of responses that would apply here.

    Thanks.

Re: Just a couple of wishlist items for the UI

Please don't make this the default behavior though.

There are a lot of things I might want to look up on other objects, while I still want to display and continue editing the current object on my screen.

And since it's unlikely for me to have both hands on my mouse, the other hand is just waiting to press Ctrl+T once an object has been selected :)
