I recently started working as an independent database consultant. I originally purchased the ModelRight as a cost effective alternative to ERwin - which I had used for years. I have been using ModelRight for the past few months on projects for several clients. Over the holidays, I was trying to get caught up on an aggressive deliverable. While making model changes, I ran into a bug that prevented me from changing column defaults. I reported it and assumed that it would be awhile until the product was fixed. So I managed to come up with a less than optimal work around.

Less than 24 hours later, I received an email that the issue had been corrected and a new build was available.

Having started a new position with a company that did not have a standard modeling tool and only required MySQL support, I needed a modeling tool that would adequately support MySQL.
